Nanning is positioned as a core city facing ASEAN in Development Plan for Beibu Gulf City Cluster approved by the State Council in 2017, and it will be built into a megalopolis and a regionally international city; In March of the same year, the National Development and Reform Commission supported Nanning in building a border center city. Nanning's high-distribution city plan has put forward higher requirements as well as brought opportunities for Nanning Municipality Environmental Protection Monitoring Station. At the same time, as a laboratory selected for List of the First National Soil Pollution Detecting and Testing Laboratories, it will also undertake soil pollution testing task in Baise City,under the unified arrangement of the Environmental Monitoring Center Station of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

Soil samples are more extensive and more complex, increasing the difficulty of pressing samples. Introduction of Nanning Municipality Environmental Protection Monitoring Center Station:

Nanning Municipality Environmental Protection Monitoring Center Station is a subordinate unit of Nanning Municipality Environmental Protection Bureau. It also acts as Nanning Nuclear and Radiation Safety Supervision and Management Station as well as Nanning Motor Vehicle Emission Pollution Management Center. It is responsible for monitoring the environmental quality of Nanning City, supervising and monitoring pollution sources in the area, and establishing sewage monitoring dynamic file. Besides, it undertakes the work of the establishment and management of the automatic monitoring system for water quality in key waters and sensitive water sources and for atmospheric environment quality, as well as other monitoring tasks issued by the administrative authorities.
